The tables show the main products with postage bought online. Insured or registered shipping and buying the label at the counter cost more; those prices are on the carrier’s website.
Customs and import costs
Mexico is outside the EU. Your parcel needs a customs declaration (CN22 or CN23, or digitally with the label) with a description, the value and, for business shipments, the HS code of the contents.
The recipient usually pays import duties, VAT and clearance fees, unless you pay them in advance (DDP). Unexpected costs are a common reason for recipients to refuse a parcel, so state it clearly in your webshop.
Some products can’t be shipped, or only under conditions, such as batteries, liquids, perfume and food. Check your carrier’s terms.
You find the right commodity code with your product’s HS code; more on VAT rates per country in the VAT calculator.

Frequently asked questions
What does it cost to send a parcel to Mexico?+
A parcel up to 2 kg costs from €30.50 (incl. VAT) without a contract with PostNL. Heavier parcels and other carriers are in the tables above; as a webshop you often pay less through a shipping platform.
Can I send a letterbox parcel to Mexico?+
Yes. A letterbox parcel costs from €19.00 with PostNL, up to 1 kg and at most 38 × 26.5 × 3.2 cm.
Do I need to fill in a customs form for Mexico?+
Yes. Mexico is outside the EU, so your parcel needs a customs declaration with a description and the value of the contents. When you buy the label online, you usually fill it in right there.
Which carrier is the cheapest?+
That depends on the weight. At the lowest weight, PostNL is the cheapest (€22.75 up to 1 kg). Use the comparison tool at the top for your weight and size.
