Fulfilment for bol sellers: LVB, VVB or your own fulfilment partner?
Logistiek via bol, Verzenden via bol or a fulfilment company. The differences in cost, control and flexibility, and when a combination makes sense.
If you sell on bol, there are three ways to ship your orders. Which one suits you best depends on your range, your other channels and how much control you want to keep.
Logistiek via bol (LVB)
With LVB (bol's own fulfilment) you send stock to bol's warehouse and bol does the rest: storage, shipping, and customer service about delivery and returns. Advantages: your offer often gets a better position and delivery is fast. Disadvantages: your stock is tied up at bol and can't be used for your own webshop or other marketplaces, strict delivery rules apply and slow-moving stock gets expensive.
Verzenden via bol (VVB)
With VVB (shipping via bol) you ship yourself or through your fulfilment partner, but with shipping labels you buy through bol. The parcels go via Ampère, bol's carrier, or another affiliated carrier. Many fulfilment companies are an Ampère drop-off point. You keep one stock for all your channels and benefit from bol's low rates.
Your own fulfilment partner
A fulfilment company processes your bol orders together with your webshop and other marketplace orders from one stock. You have more control over packaging, flyers and returns, and you depend less on one channel. Do keep an eye on the cut-off time and weekend shipping: bol rates you on on-time delivery.
When to combine?
Many sellers combine: fast movers via LVB, the rest of the range via a fulfilment partner with VVB labels. A good fulfilment partner can also prepare your LVB shipments: labelling, repacking and delivering them on time.
What to ask a fulfilment partner
- Are you an Ampère drop-off point or do you work with VVB labels?
- Until what time are bol orders shipped the same day, including Saturdays?
- Do you prepare LVB shipments?
- How are bol returns processed and reported back?
Connect your bol account on FulfilmentMatch with your own API credentials and immediately see your order volume, items per order and your current LVB share. We use that to match you with fulfilment companies that have experience with bol. Start your match.
